BEST JADE (App CK Ng) was slow to begin.

TASSAJARA (B Vorster) raced keenly in the early stages.

SUPER BRILLIANT (A Da Silva) was inconvenienced at the start by CAVATINA
(R Woodworth), which was carried inwards by DELFYNE (App MM Firdaus).

Approaching the 400m, CAVATINA checked when racing between SILVER
POWER (N Juglall) and TASSAJARA. An Inquiry into this incident will be held
at a date to be fixed.

Near the 250m, CAVATINA checked when racing between SILVER POWER
and SUPER BRILLIANT. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to
be fixed.

After passing the 200m, SILVER POWER and TASSAJARA checked when
racing between SUPER BRILLIANT and DELFYNE. An Inquiry into this incident
will be held at a date to be fixed.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SILVER POWER which
revealed no apparent abnormality.


GENERAL

SINGAPORE OCTOBER MEETING 2016
SUNDAY, 09 OCTOBER 2016:

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 25 November 2016, Jockey CW
Brown pleaded guilty to a charge of negligence under MRA Rule of Racing
152(5)(a) in that he, Jockey Brown, after being confirmed to ride at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 09 October, did negligently take
medication, resulting in the Club's Medical Officer ruling him unfit to ride at
that Meeting. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his
guilty plea and the nature of the charge. Jockey Brown was fined a sum of
S$2,000 and advised of his Right of Appeal.


At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 25 November 2016, Jockey CW
Brown pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rules of Racing 136(3)(c), the
particulars being that he did, on 09 October 2016, fail to give a urine sample
when required to do so at the Singapore Turf Club meeting on 09 October
2016. When considering penalty, the Stewards took into account the nature
of the charge, his guilty plea and that during the afternoon, he became
aware of a family medical emergency that required him to fly back to
Australia urgently. Jockey Brown was suspended for a period of two months
from Monday, 28 November 2016 to Friday, 27 January 2017 both dates
inclusive and he was advised of his Right of Appeal.


RACE 1 [TF1277]

On Wednesday, 23 November 2016, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into
the reasons for TOTALITY (V Duric) having to check when racing between
FLYING WINNER (M Nunes) and BRAHMS AND LISZT (R Shafiq) near the
350m. It was established that near the 350m, TOTALITY was checked when
crowded for room between FLYING WINNER, which shifted in and away from
JUBILATION (App H Syafiq) and BRAHMS AND LISZT, which had shifted
outwards slightly.

In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such,
no further action was taken. However, Jockey Nunes was warned and
advised that he must exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.


SINGAPORE OCTOBER MEETING 2016
FRIDAY, 14 OCTOBER 2016:

RACE 1 [TF1288]

On Wednesday, 23 November 2016, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into
the reasons for FLYING WINNER (M Nunes) having to check when racing to
the inside of PUSONG PINOY (V Duric) approaching the 800m. It was
established that approaching the 800m, FLYING WINNER, which was racing
keenly, had to be checked to avoid the heels of PUSONG PINOY, which after
being eased, lost ground when shifting inwards. In the circumstances, no
blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was
taken. However, Jockey Duric was warned and advised that he must
exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.


RACE 6 [TF1293]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 25 November 2016, Jockey M
Nunes, the rider of ALFONSO, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding
under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding ALFONSO in Race 6 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 14 October 2016, near the 1600m,
he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when not sufficiently clear of HOLY
TRILOGY (V Duric), thereby carrying that gelding in onto ZAHIR (B Vorster),
which was crowded for room and had to be checked. BOHEMIAN (App T See)
and GALAXY EXPRESS (A Munro), which were both following, had to be
steadied in consequence. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into
account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness
and submissions from Jockey Nunes that he has been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 25 November 2016, Sunday, 27
November 2016, Friday, 02 December 2016 and Sunday, 04 December
2016. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and
acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was
deferred to begin on Monday, 05 December 2016 until Friday, 06 January
2017 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race Days). In addition, he was
fined a sum of S$2,000. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.


SINGAPORE OCTOBER MEETING 2016
SUNDAY, 21 OCTOBER 2016:

RACE 7 [TF1328]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 25 November 2016, Jockey M
Nunes, the rider of DISTINCTIVE DARCI, pleaded guilty to a charge of
careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding DISTINCTIVE
DARCI in Race 7 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 21 October
2016, near the 500m, he shifted his mount outwards, when insufficiently
clear and into the rightful running OF BACHS AIR (N Juglall), carrying that
gelding wider, resulting in NINETYSEVEN GOLD (K AIsisuhairi) having to
check and IRON MAN (B Vorster) being carried wider on the track. When
deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea
and the degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Nunes was
suspended from riding in races with effect from Saturday, 07 January 2017
to Sunday, 15 January 2017 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race
Days). In addition, he was fined a sum of S$2,000. He was advised of his
Right of Appeal.

This penalty will be served consecutively following the completion of his
suspension for careless riding from Monday, 05 December 2016 until Friday,
06 January 2017 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race Days).

SUNDAY, 30 OCTOBER 2016:

RACE 10 [TF1390]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 25 November 2016, Jockey R
Shafiq, the rider of GRAND CROSS, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding GRAND CROSS in
Race 10 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 30 October 2016,
approaching the 1000m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards when
insufficiently clear of HIP HIP HOORAY (G Boss), resulting in that runner
having to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into
account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness
and submissions from Shafiq that he has been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 25 November 2016 and Sunday, 27
November 2016. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in
races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the
suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 28 November 2016 until
Sunday, 04 December 2016 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race
Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.



POST RACE URINE/BLOOD: FRIDAY
SINGAPORE 04 NOVEMBER MEETING 2016

27 coded urine and 27 coded blood post race samples from the above-
mentioned race meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and
Regulations.

Beasley, the rider of DRAGON FURY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding DRAGON FURY in
Race 7 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 04 November 2016,
near the 350m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, thereby carrying
VIVIANO (M Nunes) inwards and LAPPRENTI SORCIER (V Duric) having to
check. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record,
guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions
from Jockey Beasley that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race
Meetings on Friday, 25 November 2016, Sunday, 27 November 2016, Friday,
02 December 2016 and Sunday, 04 December 2016. The Stewards
determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule
48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on
Monday, 05 December 2016 until Monday, 02 January 2017 both dates
inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
