Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back twenty
minutes and rescheduled to start at 2240Hrs.

As the start was effected, HIKO YUNIKON (D David) stood flat-footed and
lost considerable ground. HIKO YUNIKON will be required to pass one
starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule
78(2).

LETS TALK NOW (M Zaki) was slow into stride.

STARSKY (App CK Ng) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped
SUPERSONICSURPRISE (App CC Wong), which then had to be steadied after
becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of RED GENERAL (N Juglall).

AMAZING MAN (App K Toh) began awkwardly.

GRAND CROSS (R Shafiq) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced
SILVER WIND (I Saifudin).

In the early part of the homestraight, LETS TALK NOW laid inwards under
pressure resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the gelding
on two occasions.

SUNDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2016:

RACE 2 [TF1186]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 12 October 2016, Jockey D
David, the rider of GOLDEN COIL, was found guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding GOLDEN COIL in Race
2 run at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 18 September 2016,
near the 350m, he permitted his mount to shift outwards, when insufficiently
clear of SMART MASTER (O Placais), resulting in that gelding having to be
checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his
record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and
submissions from Jockey David that he has been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 14 October 2016, Sunday, 16 October
2016. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and
acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was
deferred to begin on Monday, 17 October 2016 until Sunday, 23 October
2016 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his
Right of Appeal.

SUNDAY, 09 OCTOBER 2016:

RACE 1 [TF1277]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Monday, 10 October 2016, App H Syafiq, the
rider of JUBILATION, in the presence of his Master, Trainer S Baertschiger,
pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that
whilst riding JUBILATION in Race 1 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on
Sunday, 09 October 2016, in that passing the 200m, he allowed his mount to
shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of BRAHMS AND LISZT (R Shafiq)
resulting in that gelding having to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the
Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of
interference and carelessness. App Syafiq was suspended from riding in races
with immediate effect from Monday, 10 October 2016 to Sunday, 16 October
2016 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his
Right of Appeal.
