KRANJI STAKES A LC (D) 1400M


Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back five minutes
and rescheduled to start at 1700Hrs.

NOVA STRIKE (M Nunes) jumped awkwardly outwards bumping heavily with
the outside of its barrier.

QUECHUA (CW Brown), which began awkwardly, was slow into stride.

LAUGHING GRAVY (M Rodd) and DANIEL (J Powell) bumped on jumping.
Shortly after, DANIEL was bumped when crowded onto LAUGHING GRAVY by
MAJESTIC MOMENTS (N Juglall), which had been carried outwards by WAR
AFFAIR (D Beasley).

EMPERORS BANQUET (B Vorster) and NOVA STRIKE both raced wide
throughout.

LAUGHING GRAVY, DANIEL and MAJESTIC MOMENTS all had difficulty
obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight. LAUGHING GRAVY
again had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 300m and the 200m.

FASTNET DRAGON (V Duric) laid outwards over the final 200m.

SPANISH BAY (R Shafiq) laid outwards over the final 100m and near the
50m, had to be steadied off the heels of WAR AFFAIR, which rolled inwards.

Jockey A Munro reported that GOLD RUTILE returned lame. A subsequent
veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

revealed no apparent abnormality.
