STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 7 [TF1220]
KRANJI STAKES D POLYTRACK 1600M

To avoid a clash with the start times of overseas simulcast races which had
been rescheduled, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to
start at 1550Hrs.

MIGHTY KENNY (N Juglall) jumped away awkwardly.

CHEETAH KING (S Anandan) was slow to begin.

NORTHERN KNIGHT (M Nunes) and BIG GUARDIAN (G Boss) bumped on
jumping.

Shortly after the start, SUCCESSION (App T See) raced tight between LIMS
BATTLE (D Beasley) and GREENSTONE (O Placais), which shifted inwards.

SMART VINTAGE (M Rodd) raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 800m, GREENSTONE, which commenced to overrace, had to
be eased off the heels of PEER GYNT (App CC Wong).

Near the 300m, PEER GYNT rolled outwards slightly making contact with
MIGHTY KENNY. Shortly after, NORTHERN KNIGHT shifted inwards with
MIGHTY KENNY having to be eased. Jockey Nunes was subsequently shown
the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting
ground in future.

The Farrier reported that NORTHERN KNIGHT returned having cast its near-
fore plate.

Jockey R Woodworth reported that CAPTIVATE was making respiratory
noises. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse
returned not striding out freely.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on CLUTHA LAD (R
Shafiq) which revealed that the horse returned having bled. However, it was
established that the blood had not resulted from pulmonary origin and as
such, it is not a bleeder under the MRA Rules. CLUTHA LAD will be required
to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being
declared to race again.
