STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF1204]
THE DOWN UNDER STAKES
CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1100M
DIVISION 2

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back fifteen
minutes and rescheduled to start at 2235Hrs.

SEASONS ECHO (S Anandan) and HEAVENLY HAND (A Munro) were both
crowded shortly after the start between NOVA SWISS (M Nunes), which
jumped inwards and UNSURPASSED (R Shafiq), which jumped outwards.

DREAMWEAVER (O Chavez), UNSURPASSED and SEASONS ECHO all raced
wide throughout.

Over the concluding stages, UNSURPASSED steadied off the heels of
DREAMWEAVER, which shifted inwards.

DREAMWEAVER laid inwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

Approaching the Winning Post, UNCLE LUCKY (I Saifudin) had to be eased
when racing tight to the inside of KAZUO (App K Toh), which shifted inwards.

Jockey John, when questioned regarding the run of SPADE OF ACE, stated
that after jumping away well, the gelding mis-strode on a number of
occasions near the 800m. As such, he became concerned with SPADE OF
ACEs galloping action and eased the horse down. A subsequent veterinary
examination was requested on SPADE OF ACE which revealed no apparent
abnormality. SPADE OF ACE, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a
1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race
again.
