STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF1150]
OPEN BENCHMARK 67 SC (E) 1400M

Prior to the running of Race 9, Trainer J Peters advised the Stewards that his
instructions to Jockey D David, the rider of NIGHT FLIGHT, if circumstances
permit, from a good barrier draw to try and ride more positively in an
attempt to race in a more forward position.

DAMON (D Beasley), which was slightly slow to begin, lost ground after being
crowded between REMEMBER ME (O Placais), which jumped inwards slightly
and NIGHT FLIGHT, which jumped awkwardly outwards.

INTENSE GOLD (CW Brown) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped
STORM TROOPER (App CK Ng).

Near the 1200m, STORM TROOPER was buffeted between KATES KEEPER
(App I Amirul), which shifted inwards slightly and NIGHT FLIGHT, which
rolled outwards.

Shortly after this incident, STORM TROOPER and KATES KEEPER both had to
be eased when crowded between SPLICE (R Shafiq), which shifted inwards
slightly and NIGHT FLIGHT, which continued to roll outwards.

GOLDEN CASINO (A Munro) raced wide throughout.

After passing the 800m, STORM TROOPER was eased after becoming
awkwardly placed on the heels of NIGHT FLIGHT. At the same time, DAMON
steadied outwards after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of KATES
KEEPER.

Over the concluding stages, FORTUNE WINNER (M Ewe) shifted outwards
under pressure.

Approaching the Winning Post, PRECIOUS GEM (V Duric) was inconvenienced
by STORM TROOPER, which shifted outwards abruptly.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DAMON which
revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

POST RACE URINE/BLOOD: SUNDAY
SINGAPORE 10 APRIL MEETING 2016

RACE 9 [TF0488] : GHOST

32 coded urine and 33 coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race
meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No
0051132 which revealed the presence of Prednisolone and which was
reported to have been taken from the horse, GHOST, trained by Trainer L
Khoo, which ran second in Race 9 on the above date.

On Tuesday, 26 April 2016, Trainer Khoo was advised of the Analysts Report
and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule 137 (1) relating to
the Referee Samples. Trainer Khoo subsequently exercised his right to have
GHOSTs Referee Sample sent overseas for independent analysis. The
independent analysis of the Referee Sample overseas confirmed the presence
of Prednisolone.

In terms of the Rules, GHOST could not race again until cleared by the
Stewards.

The Stewards acceded to Trainer L Khoos request to clear GHOST for racing

submitted on Thursday, 28 April 2016 for analysis revealed the horse,

cleared for racing.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Thursday, 08 September 2016, Trainer
Khoo pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule of Racing 134(6)(a) in that
he, as the Trainer of GHOST, presented that horse which took part in Race 9

which a blood sample taken from that horse failed a post-race screening
which found the sample to contain the presence of Prednisolone., a
prohibited substance under the MRA Rules of Racing. Trainer Khoo was fined
a sum of S$10,000 and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In terms of Rule 134(11), GHOST was disqualified from the race and the
result amended accordingly.
