STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 2 [TF1013]
INITIATION SC (B) 1200M

Permission was granted for Jockey M Zaki to replace Jockey S John on ANGEL
OF MINE as the latter was unable to make the weight. Trainer ZL Mok was
fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that
he failed to submit his request for Jockey S John to ride overweight on
ANGEL OF MINE within the prescribed time at Declarations.

Permission was granted for Jockey N Juglall to replace Jockey R Shafiq on
STAR INVINCIBLE as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey
Shafiq was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

After arriving at the barrier, both GREAT WARRIOR (M Chadwick) and ONE
DEGREE NORTH (D David) had their saddles readjusted.

MIGHTY CONQUEROR (I Azhar) was difficult behind the barrier. Trainer M
Walker was advised that a warning has been placed on MIGHTY CONQUEROR
regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action
may be taken in future.

LIMS SPARKLE (K AIsisuhairi), which was fractious in the barrier, will be
required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in
terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

WINTERFELL (App H Syafiq), which was restless in the barrier prior to the
start being effected, jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped ONE DEGREE
NORTH, resulting in WINTERFELL becoming unbalanced.

ANGEL OF MINE jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped TYPHON (App CC
Wong) out onto MIGHTY CONQUEROR.

ANGEL OF MINE proved difficult to settle and raced greenly in the early
stages.

Near the 1000m, ANGEL OF MINE eased to avoid the heels of WINTERFELL,
which was carried inwards by ONE DEGREE NORTH.

Approaching the 600m, AWATERE (M Nunes) checked when racing between
GREAT WARRIOR and STAR INVINCIBLE to its outside and SKYHAWK (A
Munro) and ONE DEGREE NORTH to its inside. An Inquiry into this incident
will be held at a date to be fixed.

Making the turn into the straight, AWATERE had to be eased when racing
tight between ONE DEGREE NORTH, which rolled outwards and GREAT
WARRIOR, which rolled inwards slightly.

ONE DEGREE NORTH had difficulty obtaining a clear run over the final 100m.

Over the concluding stages, MR NO PROBLEM (App WS Chan), which was
hampered, had to be eased when inclined to lay inwards, onto the heels of
MIGHTY CONQUEROR, which rolled outwards slightly.

ANGEL OF MINE, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop
trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ONE DEGREE NORTH
which revealed no apparent abnormality.

App H Syafiq, when questioned regarding the run of WINTERFELL, stated that
he was instructed to race in a forward position, however, after jumping away
awkwardly and being unbalanced, his mount did not muster early pace and
he found himself racing in a more rearward position than expected. A
subsequent veterinary examination was requested on WINTERFELL which
revealed no apparent abnormality.
