STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF0988]
CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1200M

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back five minutes
and rescheduled to start at 2225Hrs.

After arriving at the barrier CASH BOX (I Azhar) had its saddle readjusted.

INVINCIBLE MAN (App H Syafiq) which was fractious in the barrier, put its
head down as the start was effected and lost considerable ground.
INVINCIBLE MAN will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being
declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

SOON YI (I Saifudin) was slow to begin.

STAR GENIUS (App CK Ng) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped
SOUTHERN CHIEF (TH Koh).

CASH BOX and JOHN DUKE (App CC Wong) bumped on jumping.
STAR GENIUS raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 700m, JOHN DUKE had to be eased when racing in a restricted
room to the inside of CASH BOX. PRATT STREET (G Boss) which was
following had to be steadied in consequence.

SOUTHERN CHIEF and INVINCIBLE MAN raced wide throughout.

Near the 200m, JOHN DUKE had to be momentarily eased when tightened for
room to the inside of CASH BOX.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SOUTHERN CHIEF
which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule
92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks
of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race
for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed
a bleeders test.

App T See when questioned regarding the run of POWER LIN racing in a
forward position stated that he was instructed to race in midfield position
similar to his instruction at its previous start when due to a number of on
pace runners in that race they had expected a fast pace . However at its
previous race start, he was caught wide and after eventually being able to
gain cover, he was further back than anticipated. After being inconvenienced
near the 800m, he then found himself racing in last position. He added that
today, he attempted to find a midfield position as instructed, however, he
was caught wide and with the gelding racing keenly and the slower pace
today, he elected to go forward and found himself in a more forward position
than as instructed and anticipated. His explanation was noted.

GENERAL

SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2016
SUNDAY, 10 JULY 2016:

RACE 1 [TF0872]

On Friday, 05 August 2016, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reasons for PRATT STREET (G Boss) having to check when racing between
SMART FORTUNE (I Saifudin) and HIGH COUNCIL (O Placais) near the 150m.
It was established that near the 150m, HIGH COUNCIL which was inclined to
lay inwards shifted in abruptly crowding PRATT STREET. Despite the efforts
of its rider HIGH COUNCIL continued to shift inwards crowding PRATT
STREET onto the hindquarters of SMART FORTUNE turning that gelding
outwards and further crowding PRATT STREET which checked. Stewards were
of the view that the charge could not be sustained and the careless riding
charge was withdrawn. However, Jockey Placais was warned and advised
that he must exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

RACE 9 [TF0880]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 05 August 2016, Jockey M Kellady,
the rider of VON KRUMM, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule
44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding VON KRUMM in Race 9 at the Singapore Turf

mount to shift outwards, when not sufficiently clear of RED DAWN (App H
Syafiq), resulting in that gelding having to be checked. When deciding on
penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of
interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Kellady that he
has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 05
August 2016 and Sunday, 07 August 2016. The Stewards determined to
suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the
commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 08

that near the 200m, ROAN RANGER got its head up when being eased off the
heels of KING OF THIEVES which shifted in under pressure. Stewards were

when insufficiently clear of TALES OF SUMMER (M Rodd), thereby crowding
that gelding in onto HONGCHEN (App WS Chan), which in turn was crowded
onto EN CIVIL (R Shafiq), resulting in TALES OF SUMMER and EN CIVIL being
hampered and HONGCHEN having to be eased. When deciding on penalty,
the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of
