STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 3 [TF0982]
CLASS 4 LC (D) 1400M

THE WIND (I Saifudin) jumped awkwardly outwards making contact with
REDDOT RISING (D Beasley).

Shortly after the start, QUEENS SEVEN (A Munro) shifted outwards and
bumped HONGCHEN (App WS Chan).

QUEENS SEVEN raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 1000m, WONDERFUL PRINCE (M Nunes) had to be steadied after
improving onto the heels of DEAUVILLE (I Azhar). When being steadied,
WONDERFUL PRINCE shifted inwards and momentarily crowded THE WIND,
which had to be eased in consequence.

QUEENS SEVEN raced wide throughout.

Near the 100m, WONDERFUL PRINCE checked when racing between
DEAUVILLE and THE WIND. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date
to be fixed.

Jockey Nunes reported that WONDERFUL PRINCE was not striding out
freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the gelding
returned lame off-fore and also returned with an irregular heart rhythm.
WONDERFUL PRINCE will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and
veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

App Chan, when questioned regarding the performance of HONGCHEN, in
particularly establishing a significant lead in the middle stages of the race,
stated that he was instructed to lead and after riding his mount along to
obtain this position, the gelding raced keenly. He added that whilst he was
not aware he had established such a large lead, HONGCHEN still travelled
comfortably. While the Stewards noted his explanation he was however,
advised he needs to be more aware of his positioning and pace being set in
future, to ensure he gives his mount every opportunity to finish the race off
strongly.
