GURU GLEE (App A Feiruz) was slow to begin.
ALABAMA (App T Affandi), which jumped away awkwardly, was crowded shortly after the start between KICK-IN TURBO and BENGAWAN (O Chavez), which laid inwards.
BENGAWAN raced wide without cover throughout.
LOCKDOWN was unable to secure a clear run in the straight.
WICKET (B Vorster), which was held up passing the 200m, had to be taken outwards to obtain a clear run.

INQUIRY INTO AN INCIDENT AT THE PREMISES OF THE SINGAPORE TURF CLUB ON WEDNESDAY, 30 JULY 2008
After Mr Riski Bin Abu Bakar finally presented himself, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry on Thursday, 04 February 2010, Mr Riski Bin Abu Bakar, a former Syce from Trainer S Burridge's Stable, was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule of Racing 136(4)(b) in that he, on Wednesday,
30 July 2008, as a licensed person with the Malayan Racing Association, refused to provide a urine sample for analysis when directed to do so by a Stipendiary Steward.
Mr Riski Bin Abu Bakar was disqualified for a period of two years from Wednesday, 30 July 2008 to Thursday, 29 July 2010 both dates inclusive and he was advised of his Right of Appeal.

The Stewards concluded an Inquiry on Thursday, 04 February 2010 into the riding of HEAR ME over the concluding stages. Evidence was taken from Jockey S John and Trainer S Chua. Jockey John stated that HEAR ME was inclined to hang outwards, as such, over the concluding stages, he held his whip forward on the offside in an attempt to keep his mount straight. In addition, he continued to push hard forward with his left hand to continue to encourage HEAR ME to the line. His explanation was noted.

Trainer S Burridge was fined a sum of S$1,000 under MRA Regulation 20.6 by failing to ensure that the Vaccinations were current for BIG HONOUR as required under MRA Regulation 20.1.

When questioned regarding his riding of FANTASTIC OWNERS over the concluding stages, Jockey M Gallagher stated that he rode the gelding out hard with the whip over the final 200m but over the last 50m, his mount commenced to lay outwards and for this reason, he did not ride out hands and heels but instead continued to use the whip. His explanation was noted.
