Jockey O Chavez, when questioned regarding the run of ANGRY CAT, stated
that it was his intention to have ANGRY CAT in a midfield position. However,
the gelding showed no early pace and was hard ridden to try and stay in
contact with the main body of the field. He added that the gelding ran on
only fairly and in his opinion, felt sore in its near-fore leg on return to Scale.
His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was
requested on ANGRY CAT which revealed no apparent abnormality.
