STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF0614]
CLASS 3 SC (E) 1400M

Permission was granted for Jockey I Saifudin to replace Jockey O Chavez on
WONDERFUL PRINCE as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey
Chavez was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

Acting on veterinary advice that ABOVE THE SKYLINE (A Munro) was found
to be lame off-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2220Hrs.
In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official
Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

RED ANT (S John) was slow to begin.

MR SPIELBERG (App R Rueven) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

PANAMA CITY (N Juglall) raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

IDEAL GUIDE (D Beasley) raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 700m, GOBI RANGER (B Vorster) was buffeted between
BRAHMA CIRCUS (V Duric) and SPLICE (R Shafiq), which shifted outwards
slightly.

Near the 300m, GOBI RANGER checked when racing between IDEAL GUIDE
and SPLICE. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Jockey Beasley reported that IDEAL GUIDE was not striding out freely. A
subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

SINGAPORE MARCH MEETING 2016
FRIDAY, 18 MARCH 2016:

RACE 4 [TF0366]

On Tuesday, 10 May 2016, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into a report
from the Clerk of Scales that App Z Zuriman, the rider of STANZOUT,
returned to scale 1.0kg over the declared weight that he weighed out for the
above race. App Zuriman pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 121(7)
in that after riding STANZOUT in Race 4 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting
on Friday, 18 March 2016, he returned to scale 1.0kg in excess of the
declared weight that he weighed out for the race. There was no evidence to
suggest that App Zuriman had or attempted to deceive the Clerk of Scales
when weighing. However, App Zuriman had admitted consuming some fluid
after he weighed out for the race and that this may have contributed to him
returning overweight. When considering penalty, the Stewards took into
account the nature of the charge, guilty plea and his record. App Zuriman
was suspended from riding in races with immediate effect from Tuesday, 10
May 2016 to Friday, 20 May 2016 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race
Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 10 May 2016, Jockey D Beasley,
the rider of POWER LIN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under
MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding POWER LIN in Race 10 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 25 March 2016, near the 250m, he
permitted his mount to shift outwards, when not sufficiently clear of HAMMER
DOWN (App Z Zuriman), resulting in that gelding clipping the heels of his
mount and falling. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into
account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness
and submissions from Jockey Beasley that he has been engaged to ride at
the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 13 May 2016 and Sunday , 15 May
2016. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and
acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was
deferred to begin on Monday, 16 May 2016 until Wednesday, 15 June 2016
both dates inclusive (a period of one month). He was advised of his Right of
Appeal.
