RACE 9 [TF0549]
LION CITY CUP
SPORE-G1 1200M

After arriving at the barrier, WIMBLEDON (N Juglall) had its saddle
readjusted.

WIMBLEDON and PACHELBELS CANON (M Rodd) both jumped away
awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, SPALATO (CW Brown) and PACHELBELS CANON
bumped.

Approaching the 800m, WIMBLEDON eased when tightened to the inside of
ZAC SPIRIT (V Duric), which was carried inwards slightly by GOAL KEEPER (R
Shafiq).

Jockey Duric, the rider of ZAC SPIRIT, was fined a sum of S$500 for making
a celebratory gesture prior to the Finish in terms of MRA Rule 44(12).

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that EMPEROR MAX (D Beasley) returned
having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or
gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two
months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then
only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeders test.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SPALATO which
revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it
will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any
racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a
period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a
bleeders test.

Following the running of Race 9, Jockey Brown, the rider of SPALATO, was
examined by the Course Medical Officer who declared him unfit to fulfil his
remaining riding engagements.
