STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF0459]
JBBA MOONBEAM VASE LC (B) 1800M
SPORE-G3

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back thirty-five
minutes and rescheduled to start at 1720Hrs.

After arriving at the barrier, MAJESTIC MOMENTS (N Juglall) had its saddle
readjusted.

MARTIN (D Beasley) was slow to begin.

HUGHSY (A Munro) raced keenly in the early stages.

Approaching the 1000m, SEBROSE (R Shafiq) shifted inwards abruptly after
racing up onto the heels of BLUE DANUBE (B Vorster). MARTIN, which was
following, had to be steadied in consequence.

Jockey Vorster, when questioned regarding the run of BLUE DANUBE, stated
that whilst it was his intention to race in a forward position, the horse did not
show its normal pace and as a result, found himself racing in a more
rearward position than anticipated. He further stated that despite placing
BLUE DANUBE under pressure gradually from the 800m, the horse failed to
respond and disappointed. His explanation was noted. A subsequent
veterinary examination was requested on BLUE DANUBE which revealed no
apparent abnormality.
