STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 11 [TF0405]
CLASS 4 SC (C) 1400M

Due to a delay resulting from the lightning in the vicinity of the Race Course
prior to Race 11, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to
start at 1805Hrs.

ASPEN (M Nunes) was slow into stride.

SCOUT DONE (R Shafiq) and DEAUVILLE (S Sam) bumped on jumping.

Shortly after the start, NO SMOKING JEFF (D Beasley) and KIRKS RYKER (B
Vorster) bumped, resulting in NO SMOKING JEFF shifting inwards
inconveniencing ASPEN.

For some distance in the backstraight, DBUFFALO MAN (CW Brown) and
KIRKS RYKER raced tightly, resulting in those horses brushing on a number
of occasions.

KIRKS RYKER raced keenly in the early stages.

DBUFFALO MAN and DEAUVILLE both raced wide throughout.

MAREA NEGRO (A Munro) was held up for clear running from the 600m until
near the 200m.

After passing the 400m, KIRKS RYKER and ASPEN bumped due to both
horses shifting ground.

Near the 350m, COLONEL LINCOLN (M Kellady) steadied to avoid the heels
of DBUFFALO MAN, which rolled inwards.

Approaching the 300m, ASPEN rolled inwards slightly and brushed KIRKS
RYKER on a couple of occasions.

Passing the 150m, KIRKS RYKER shifted outwards under pressure and
carried ASPEN wider on the track for a short distance.

Approaching the 100m, MAREA NEGRO shifted inwards abruptly, resulting in
NATION THEATRE (V Duric) having to be eased to avoid that mares heels.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DBUFFALO MAN
which revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

POST RACE URINE/BLOOD: FRIDAY
SINGAPORE 30 OCTOBER MEETING 2015

RACE 2 [TF1280] : SUCCESSION

29 coded urine and 30 coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race
meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No
0053317 which revealed the presence of Mefenamic Acid and which was
reported to have been taken from the horse, SUCCESSION, trained by
Trainer M Freedman, which ran second in Race 2 on the above date.

On Sunday, 22 November 2015, Trainer Freedman was advised of the
Analysts Report and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule
137 (1) relating to the Referee Samples. Trainer Freedman subsequently
exercised his right to have SUCCESSIONs Referee Sample sent overseas
for independent analysis. The independent analysis of the Referee Sample
overseas confirmed the presence of Mefenamic Acid.

In terms of the Rules, SUCCESSION could not race again until cleared by
the Stewards.

The Stewards acceded to Trainer M Freedmans request to clear
SUCCESSION for racing subject to the submission of a subsequent urine
sample being free of any prohibited substance.

The SNTC Laboratory reported on 08 January 2016 that a sample which was
submitted on Tuesday, 05 January 2016 for analysis revealed the horse,
SUCCESSION, was clear of any prohibited substance and as such
SUCCESSION was cleared for racing.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Thursday, 24 March 2016, Trainer
Freedman was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule of Racing 134(6)(a)
in that he, as the Trainer of SUCCESSION, presented that horse which took
part in Race 2 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 30 October
2015, following which a urine sample taken from that horse failed a post-race
screening which found the sample to contain the presence of Mefenamic
Acid, a prohibited substance under the MRA Rules of Racing. Trainer
Freedman was fined a sum of S$10,000 and was advised of his Right of
Appeal.

In terms of Rule 134(11), SUCCESSION was disqualified from the race and
the result amended accordingly.
