RACE 9 [TF0161]
OPEN HANDICAP 1100M

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back five
minutes and rescheduled to start at 1725rs.

App J See, the rider of SOUTHERN BOSS, was fined a sum of S$200 for
negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to claim and ride
at his declared riding weight.

PIONEER SEVEN (App CC Wong), which was restless in the barrier, was slow
to begin.

Shortly after the start, EL PADRINO (O Chavez) eased when crowded
between GOAL KEEPER (B Vorster), which shifted inwards and
MYCAPTAINOBLIVIOUS (M Kellady), which was bumped outwards by KAMS
COMET (App MM Firdaus), which in turn had been bumped outwards by
SOUTHERN BOSS, which was carried outwards by SEBAS (A Munro), which
jumped awkwardly outwards and continued to shift outwards thereafter.
PIONEER SEVEN, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence.

After passing the 800m, PIONEER SEVEN was eased after becoming
awkwardly placed on the heels of KAMS COMET, which shifted inwards
slightly.

GOAL KEEPER raced wide throughout.

Near the 100m, GOAL KEEPER, which had a tendency to shift inwards and
away from EL PADRINO, steadied to avoid the heels of KAMS COMET, which
rolled outwards slightly.

Approaching the Winning Post, SEBAS eased to avoid the heels of HAPPY
MONEY (E Chaves).

Whilst Stewards were of the opinion that it had not affected the placings,
Jockey M Rodd, the rider of HUKA FALLS, was reminded of his obligations to
ride his mount out fully to the end of the race.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KAMS COMET which
revealed no apparent abnormality.
