STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 11 [TF0163]
CLASS 4 1200M
DIVISION 2

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 10, this race was put back five
minutes and rescheduled to start at 1830rs.

Prior to the running of Race 11, Trainer HK Tan advised the Stewards that his
instructions to Jockey S John, the rider of Q NINE MAC, if circumstances
permit, to jump well, but try and settle just off the pace.

VIVIANO (M Nunes) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

ASPREY (A Munro) was crowded on jumping between Q NINE MAC, which
jumped outwards and KAZUO (App Z Zuriman), which jumped inwards at the
start.

SECRET SPICE (App CK Ng) was inconvenienced at the start when NATION
THEATRE (App R Firdhau) shifted outwards after jumping away awkwardly.

ALOHA (E Chaves) raced wide throughout.

SECRET SPICE, which had a tendency to hang outwards, raced wide from the
800m.

Approaching the turn into the straight, VIVIANO and ALOHA brushed.

ASPREY had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight.

Approaching the 200m, KAZUO laid inwards making contact with Q NINE
MAC.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both MR WHITAKER
(M Rodd) and ALOHA which revealed no apparent abnormality.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Sunday, 31 January 2016, Jockey A
Munro, the rider of FUJIN BRIGHT, was found guilty to a charge of careless

7 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 03 January 2016, near the
1500m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear,
thereby crowding STARPERFECT (App CC Wong), which checked. When

degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Munro was suspended from

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Sunday, 31 January 2016, Jockey M Nunes,

Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 08 January 2016, near the 700m, he
allowed his mount to shift outwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby
resulting in BILLY BRITAIN (App CC Wong) clipping the heels of SCHILTRON
and blundering. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account

SINGAPORE JANUARY MEETING 2016
SUNDAY, 10 JANUARY 2016:

RACE 2 [TF0060]

On Thursday, 28 January 2016, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reasons for VINTAGE VERDOT (O Chavez) having to check when racing to the
inside of SUPER BRILLIANT (J Powell), VOYAGER (App J See), THE WIND (R
Woodworth) and BEST JADE (M Nunes) passing the 800m. It was
established that approaching the 800m, VINTAGE VERDOT got its head up
when being steadied off the heels of ROYAL CHOICE (App T See), which in
turn was eased off the heels of BAIL OUT (E Aslam). Shortly after,
VOYAGER, which was proving difficult to settle, shifted inwards bumping
SUPER BRILLIANT in onto VINTAGE VERDOT, which checked and lost ground.
In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such,
no further action was taken.

RACE 2 [TF0060]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Sunday, 31 January 2016, Jockey M
Nunes, the rider of BEST JADE, was found guilty to a charge of careless

at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 10 January 2016, near the
700m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear,
thereby carrying THE WIND (R Woodworth) in onto VOYAGER (App J See),
which was crowded and lost ground. When deciding on penalty, the
Stewards took into account his record and the degree of interference and
carelessness. Jockey Nunes was suspended from riding in races with effect
from Saturday, 20 February 2016 to Sunday, 28 February 2016 both dates
inclusive (three Singapore Race Days). In addition, he was fined a sum of
S$5,000. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

suspension for careless riding from Wednesday, 10 February 2016 until
Friday, 19 February 2016 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race Days).

Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 10 January 2016, near the 1000m, he allowed
his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby resulting in

and carelessness and submissions from App Firdaus that he has been
engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 05 February 2016
and Tuesday, 09 February 2016. The Stewards determined to suspend his
licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement
of the suspension was deferred to begin on Wednesday, 10 February 2016
until Sunday, 14 February 2016 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race
