RIO DE JANEIRO (N Juglall) lost ground after blundering when jumping away
FLYING WINNER (KB Soo) and HAPPY CAT (App R Hasri) both jumped away
ZAC GALLANT (App CK Ng) jumped awkwardly inwards making contact with
BAIL OUT (App Z Zuriman).
GYPSY MAGIC (S John) was carried inwards on jumping when NATURAL
IMPULSE (M Rodd) jumped inwards.
Shortly after the start, GYPSY MAGIC then made contact with WESTERN
BOSS (App J See), which was carried outwards slightly by SUPER JOY (O
Chavez). As a result of this, GYPSY MAGIC lost ground after being buffeted
between WESTERN BOSS and NATURAL IMPULSE.
Shortly after the start, HAPPY CAT eased off the heels of ZAC GALLANT after
being carried inwards slightly by SUPER JOY.
Approximately 50m after the start, FOLLOW THE KING (App WS Chan)
bumped FLYING WINNER on a number of occasions when racing tight to the
inside of GOOD SCORE (M Zaki), which shifted inwards.
Approaching the 700m, SUPER JOY steadied off the heels of FOLLOW THE
KING, which shifted outwards abruptly when being taken across the heels of
BAIL OUT. FOLLOW THE KING then had a tendency to lay outwards.
Shortly after passing the 200m, Jockey Soo, the rider of FLYING WINNER,
lost his near-side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.
Approaching the 150m, ZAC GALLANT, which was carried outwards slightly
by GOOD SCORE, bumped BAIL OUT outwards, which in turn bumped FLYING
Jockey John reported that GYPSY MAGIC was not striding out freely. A
subsequent veterinary examination confirmed this.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FOLLOW THE KING
which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule
92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks
of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race
for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed
