STIPE'S REPORT RACE 3 (R1600) HONEST MAN which was restless in the barrier, jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin. I-HORSE was slow to begin and laid in at the top of the straight. Jockey H Samsir, the rider of SECRETARIAT PRINCE, was fined RM500/- under MRA Rule 44(10) for the manner in which he saluted in victory just prior to the finish. I-HORSE, CITY FIGHTER and HONEST MAN which all raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of DIVINE KID which trailed the field throughout, revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. An Inquiry into the running and handling of PERHAPS (Jockey WK Yan) will be held on a date to be fixed. A post-race veterinary examination of PERHAPS revealed no obvious abnormality. At the conclusion of an Inquiry today, Jockey L Sofhan, the rider of GERUASIO, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding GERUASIO at about the 1200M mark in this race, he permitted his mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear of BUKIT RAYA resulting in that horse having to check, lost ground and shifted inwards onto PERHAPS which was inconvenienced in this incident. Jockey L Sofhan was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) race days with effect from 28th December 2009 and to expire on 3rd January 2010, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (2:08pm).
