LEES DYNASTY (HS Gill) and MASQUERAIN (App KP Lim) were both caught racing
wide throughout the event.
On returning to scale, Jockey HS Gill, the rider of LEES DYNASTY, reported that his horse
was caught racing wide throughout.
The Stewards questioned Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of VON SNITZEL, into his ride in
particular from the 400M and into the reasons why he failed to shift out to gain clear running.
Jockey S Ruzaini explained that VON SNITZEL had a tendency to lay in despite his efforts
and was unable to shift out due to these reasons.
The Stewards, after viewing the official patrol films, reminded Jockey S Ruzaini in the
strongest term that at all times, he must ensure that he does his best to gain clear running when
the opportunity arises.
The Stewards questioned App KP Lim, the rider of MASQUERAIN, into the tactics that were
adopted on the gelding in particular why he raced wide throughout the event and shifted wider
on the home turn. App KP Lim explained that the gelding had a tendency to shift out
throughout the event despite his efforts. This was supported by the official patrol films and the
Stewards took no further action. The Stewards noted his comments for future reference.
