GENERAL

SINGAPORE SEPTEMBER MEETING 2015
SUNDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2015:

RACE 7 [TF1156]

On Monday, 19 October 2015, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into App
MM Firdaus, the rider of LUCKY TWENTY THREE, weighing in underweight in
Race 7 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 20 September 2015.
App Firdaus, in the presence of his Master, pleaded guilty to the following
two charges:

(1) under MRA Rule 121(2) in that he negligently changed his body
Protector after weighing out for LUCKY TWENTY THREE in Race
7 at the Singapore Turf Club on Sunday, 20 September 2015,
thereby resulting in him returning in excess of half a kilogram
underweight and LUCKY TWENTY THREE being subsequently
disqualified from the race.

(2) under MRA Rule 107(7) in that when presenting himself to
weigh out for LUCKY TWENTY THREE in Race 7 at the Singapore
Turf Club on Sunday, 20 September 2015, he weighed out with
a Body Protector which was modified and not approved by the
Stipendiary Stewards.

When considering penalty, the Stewards took into account the nature of the
charge, his record and submissions from App Firdaus in regards to his
personal circumstances and that he had been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 23 October 2015 and Sunday, 25
October 2015.

In regards to the first charge, App MM Firdaus was suspended from riding in
races for one month. Whilst in regards to the second charge, he was also
suspended from riding in races for one month. These penalties are to be
served consecutively. Therefore, the Stewards determined that, acting under
MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of these suspensions was deferred to
begin on Monday, 26 October 2015 until Friday, 25 December 2015 both
dates inclusive (a total period of two months). He was advised of his Right of
Appeal.

SINGAPORE OCTOBER MEETING 2015
FRIDAY, 02 OCTOBER 2015:

RACE 2 [TF1172]

On Monday, 19 October 2015, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into a
report from the Clerk of Scales that App Y Salim, the rider of CONDADO,
returned to scale 1.0kg over the declared weight that he weighed out for the
above race. App Salim, in the presence of his Masters B Trainer, Mr Adrien
Chin, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 121(7) in that after riding
CONDADO in Race 2 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 02
October 2015, he returned to scale 1.0kg in excess of the declared weight
that he weighed out for the race. There was no evidence to suggest that App
Salim had or attempted to deceive the Clerk of Scales when
weighing. However, App Salim had admitted consuming fluids after he
weighed out for the race and that this may have contributed to him returning
overweight. When considering penalty, the Stewards took into account the
nature of the charge, his record and submissions from App Salim that he has
been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 23 October
2015 and Sunday, 25 October 2015. The Stewards determined to suspend
his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the
commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 26
October 2015 until Friday, 06 November 2015 both dates inclusive (three
Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

reported to have been taken from the horse, BLUE DANUBE, trained by
