STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF1179]
CLASS 4 1000M

JIMTOWN (App R Rueven) was slow to begin.

BARNATO (App MM Firdaus) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped
MASTERMIND (R Woodworth) in onto POWER LIN (App CC Wong).

Approximately 50m after the start, BARNATO steadied to avoid the heels of
MAKAWAO (M Ewe), which shifted inwards.

Passing the 800m, EXCITING PROSPECT (CW Brown) got its head up when
being eased after being crowded between BARNATO and CLIP THE TICKET
(App R Shafiq), which rolled outwards.

BARNATO and POWER LIN both raced wide from the 700m.

Shortly after making the turn into the straight, POWER LIN was slightly
inconvenienced when HONEST TRUTH (KB Soo) shifted outwards.

Approaching the 300m, LADY ROULETTE (I Saifudin) steadied outwards away
from the heels of MASTERMIND, which shifted inwards under pressure.

Over the concluding stages, MAKAWAO shifted outwards and in so doing,
carried CLIP THE TICKET wider on the track.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HONEST TRUTH
which revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

POST RACE URINE/BLOOD: FRIDAY
SINGAPORE 01 MAY MEETING 2015

RACE 5 [TF554] : GREAT BALLS OFFIRE

33 coded urine and 33 coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race
meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No
0050678 which revealed the presence of 3-Hydroxy-N-Methyl-
Morphinan and which was reported to have been taken from the horse,
GREAT BALLS OFFIRE, trained by Trainer S Burridge, which ran first in
Race 5 on the above date.

On Wednesday, 20 May 2015, Trainer Burridge was advised of the Analysts
Report and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule 137 (1)
relating to the Referee Samples. Trainer Burridge subsequently exercised his
right to have GREAT BALLS OFFIREs Referee Sample sent overseas for
independent analysis.

In terms of the Rules, GREAT BALLS OFFIRE could not race again until
cleared by the Stewards.

On Wednesday, 20 May 2015, the Stewards acceded to Trainer Burridges
request to clear GREAT BALLS OFFIRE for racing subject to the submission of
a subsequent urine sample being free of any prohibited substance. The
SNTC Laboratory subsequently reported that a sample submitted to clear
GREAT BALLS OFFIRE for racing was analysed and clear of any prohibited
substances. As such, GREAT BALLS OFFIRE was cleared for racing.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Monday, 28 September 2015, Trainer
Burridge pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule of Racing 134(6)(a) in
that he, as the Trainer of GREAT BALLS OFFIRE, presented that horse
which took part in Race 5 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 01
May 2015, following which a urine sample taken from that horse failed a
post-race screening which found the sample to contain the presence of 3-
Hydroxy-N-Methyl-Morphinan, a prohibited substance under the MRA
Rules of Racing. Trainer Burridge was fined a sum of S$10,000 and was
advised of his Right of Appeal.

In terms of Rule 134(11), GREAT BALLS OFFIRE was disqualified from the
race and the result amended accordingly.
