STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF1170]
CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1200M
DIVISION 1

As there was no similar claiming rider available, the Stewards gave
permission for App TR Barnabas to replace App T See on PROBO
CHANDROSO.

DUTY FREE (I Saifudin) was slow into stride.

SACRED SPIN (App R Shafiq) jumped inwards at the start bumping PROBO
CHANDROSO.

QUEENS SEVEN (M Esposito), which began awkwardly, was severely
crowded shortly after the start between HADES (KB Soo), which shifted
inwards and SILVER STAR (N Juglall), which was carried outwards by
INVINCIBLE MAN (App WS Chan).

Passing the 700m, DUTY FREE lost ground after being crowded by SILVER
STAR, which was bumped inwards by HADES.

Near the 500m, SACRED SPIN checked when racing to the outside of SILVER
STAR. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 400m, HADES shifted outwards and bumped QUEENS SEVEN,
carrying that gelding wider.

Approaching the 300m, DUTY FREE, which had difficulty obtaining a clear
run, eased when disappointed for a run between PROBO CHANDROSO and
THANKFULNESS (App R Rueven). DUTY FREE was then held up for clear
running until near the 150m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SILVER STAR which
revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2015
FRIDAY, 24 JULY 2015:

RACE 9 [TF0916]

An Inquiry into App Y Ruzailis riding of KEEP SPINNING was concluded on
Monday, 21 September 2015. App Ruzaili explained that he was instructed
to ride where comfortable and not to place his mount under pressure in the
early stages. He was also instructed to commence to improve from the
800m. Trainer D Hill confirmed these instructions. Whilst taking into
account these instructions, the quick sectionals from the 1200m and App
Ruzailis race riding inexperience, the Stewards were of the opinion that
there was insufficient evidence to substantiate a charge. However, App
Ruzaili was advised that whilst understanding that riders must endeavour to
ride to instructions, he must ride in a manner so as not to arouse query.

SINGAPORE SEPTEMBER MEETING 2015
SUNDAY, 06 SEPTEMBER 2015:

RACE 6 [TF1115]

An Inquiry into App Y Salims riding of MAGIC WIN was concluded on
Monday, 21 September 2015.

App Salim explained that his instructions were to begin well and allow MAGIC
TO WIN to settle where comfortable, off the pace. He added that he was to
make use of his good barrier and sit close to the rail in an effort to save
ground throughout. He further added that he was to commence urging his
mount along from the 1000m, whilst keeping his mount balanced until
entering the homestraight and then ride strongly in an effort to finish the
race off well.

Trainer D Kok confirmed the instructions adding that he did not want MAGIC
TO WIN to be pushed along early as the gelding has had a tendency to
overrace in the past. App Salim stated that his mount began well and he
then allowed MAGIC TO WIN to settle towards the rear keeping his mount
well balanced and racing comfortably. He explained that after passing the
1000m, he commenced to ride MAGIC TO WIN along. However, his mount
dipped on a number of occasions after passing the 800m and for this reason,
he sat quietly in an effort to keep the gelding balanced until entering the
homestraight. Upon entering the homestraight, he explained that there was
initially not clear running towards the inside. However, when a gap opened
near the 300m, he rode his mount along strongly, whereupon the gelding
responded to his hard riding and finished the race off well.

Whilst the Stewards were of the opinion that there was insufficient evidence
to issue a charge, App Salim was advised that the Stewards had some
concerns with his riding between the 800m until near the 500m, and, whilst
understanding that riders must endeavour to ride to instructions, he must
ride in a manner so as not to arouse query.

SINGAPORE SEPTEMBER MEETING 2015
FRIDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2015:

RACE 1 [TF1141]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 23 September 2015, App J
See, the rider of RORY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under
MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding RORY in Race 1 at the Singapore
Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 18 September 2015, approaching the Winning
Post, he failed to make sufficient effort to straighten his mount when it was
shifting inwards, when not sufficiently clear of STEED EXPEDITE (App T See),
resulting that gelding having to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the
Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference
and carelessness and submissions from App J See that he has been engaged
to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday, 25 September 2015. The
Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under
MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin
on Saturday, 26 September 2015 until Sunday, 04 October 2015 both dates
inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
