RACE 10 [TF0435]
WHY BE 2006 STAKES
KRANJI STAKES A LC (E) 1400M

RAPIDO STAR (R Woodworth) jumped awkwardly outwards crowding
SUPERNOVA (App Z Zuriman) out onto CITY LAD (KB Soo), which in turn
bumped STEPITUP (CW Brown).

CITY LAD raced keenly in the early stages.

STEPITUP and RAPIDO STAR bumped on a couple of occasions passing the
1000m.

DAVIDE (B Vorster) got its head up on a number of occasions approaching
the 900m.

Passing the 900m, JOHNNY GUITAR (N Juglall) became unbalanced after
being bumped on the hindquarters by CITY LAD, which had been carried
outwards slightly by SIR LOVESALOT (App R Shafiq).

STEPITUP and JOHNNY GUITAR both raced wide from the 900m.

RAPIDO STAR and STEPITUP bumped on a couple of occasions near the
600m.

Passing the 300m, SUPERNOVA, which was laying outwards, made contact
with GOLD RUTILE (A Munro).

INDIAN JADE (C Newitt) was eased out of the race shortly after making the
turn into the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon subsequently reported that
the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be
permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse
for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of
three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeders
test.
