HAPPINESS COME (App S Ruzaini) was slow to begin.
HEEDMASTER (App M Ewe) began awkwardly and lost ground.
LION CITY HERO (I Saifudin), BEST BID (J Moreira) and HEEDMASTER all raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
NO LIMIT (App M Yap) raced wide without cover throughout.
STRENGTHTOSTRENGTH (B Vorster) had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the early part of the straight.
Over the concluding stages, HAPPINESS COME had difficulty obtaining a clear run.
App Ewe, the rider of HEEDMASTER, reported that the geldings saddle slipped back near the 400m.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that HAPPY EVERYBODY returned with a laceration to its nasal area. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.
Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on HUSONIC (J Saimee) and HAPPINESS COME which revealed no apparent abnormality.
App Yap, the rider of NO LIMIT, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned lame off-fore. NO LIMIT will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being entered to race again.
Jockey J Powell, when questioned regarding the disappointing performance of YES WE CAN, was unable to offer any tangible explanation. However, he added that his mount settled in an advantageous position and travelled well until straightening. He further stated that once clear in the straight, his mount failed to run on and was disappointed. His explanation was noted. YES WE CAN was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.
