STIPE'S REPORT RACE 10 (R1250) JOKER PLEASURE, a course scratching as it had sustained a stone-bruised near fore, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again. Emergency acceptor, JUN TU was withdrawn due to a capacity field. UPTHEANTE which was up 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start. DESERT LEO which was standing awkwardly in the barrier, jumped awkwardly and was a little slow to begin. KRISTHUNDER jumped awkwardly inwards, making contact with FORT APACHE. BLUE TOSCA which was restless in the barrier, jumped awkwardly outwards, carrying ROYAL JADE out onto JERAM FASHION which in turn shifted out and bumped the hind quarters of UPTHEANTE. TRIPLE JIN rolled out on the first turn at about the 800M and carried CRAFTY IDEA. TRIPLE JIN and CRAFTY IDEA thereafter were both obliged to race wide on the bend. Passing the 200M, XIN DONG ELITE had to steady off the heels of HAPPY GO LUCKY which rolled out. Jockey S Salee, the rider of HAPPY GO LUCKY, was shown the video of the incident and warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. In the concluding stages, XIN DONG ELITE was held up and had to check when racing tight between HAPPY GO LUCKY and EASTERN STAR. CRAFTY IDEA which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. Post-race veterinary examinations of BLUE TOSCA, KRISTHUNDER and JERAM FASHION revealed no obvious abnormality. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that DESERT LEO returned cut into off hind.
