STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 3 (R1424) CLASS 4 - 1700M YANMAR HANDICAP

WINNING LINE, which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked
by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

At the start, PURE KEMISTRY (App WT Chung) was bumped when CLAYBURY
(J Shankar) jumped awkwardly and shifted out and LOVE ME (Y Aify) shifted in.
PURE KEMISTRY lost some ground in this incident.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that LOVE ME returned lame near fore-leg and as such
will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of MESSI (App M Hanif) revealed that the gelding
returned, having cast its near hind plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of CLAYBURY, DIVINE POWER (S Salee), NO
EYE DEER (App CC Wong) and WINNING LINE (App KC Tham) revealed no obvious
abnormality.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey J Shankar, the rider of CLAYBURY, was found
guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 1400M,
he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount CLAYBURY from shifting in when
insufficiently clear of WINNING LINE, resulting in that horse being checked and lose
ground. PURE KEMISTRY and GLORY AGE (HS Gill), which were following, had to
take evasive action.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey J Shankars mitigating
factors and his riding record. Jockey J Shankars licence to ride in races was suspended
for three (3) race days. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards
deferred the commencement of Jockey J Shankars suspension to take effect from
Monday, 3rd November 2014 and to expire on Sunday, 9th November 2014, both dates
inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.35pm).
