App AK Lim, the rider of LAST MAN STANDING, placed 3rd, dropped his whip at about the

The Stewards questioned Jockey Y Aify and Trainer T Gillespie, the rider and Trainer of
LONGMA respectively, as to that geldings performance today. Jockey Y Aify confirmed his
instructions were to be mid to back which were confirmed by the Stewards from the Trainers
Instruction Form. Jockey Y Aify stated that from a wide barrier, he elected to come back and
travelled midfield until entering the straight when he obtained a rail run on LONGMA and that
over the final 100M after using the whip, the gelding finished the race off fairly. The Stewards
noted their explanations for revision. A post-race veterinary examination of LONGMA
revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be
required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again. The Club Veterinary
Surgeon also reported that LONGMA returned having cast its off fore plate.
