STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF1399]
SAAS FEE STAKES SC (E) 1400M
SPORE-G3

Prior to the All Clear being given, Jockey J Powell, the rider of SLEW OF
LODE, requested to view the race video with a view to considering lodging an
objection. After viewing the video, Jockey Powell believed that there was
insufficient grounds to lodge the objection and the All Clear was declared.

CAVALLO (S John) was slow to begin. For short distance after the start,
CAVALLO was carried inwards by HOT GOLD (I Santana).

DAVIDE (B Vorster) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
Approaching the 1200m, DAVIDE shifted inwards and bumped BORN TO FLY
(N Juglall) in onto CAVALLO.

HOT GOLD raced keenly in the middle stages.

SLEW OF LODE raced wide throughout.

CAVALLO was unable to improve between the 600m and the 400m due to
being held up for a clear running.

Over the concluding stages, SLEW OF LODE shifted outwards and away from
EMPEROR MAX (CW Brown), when that gelding shifted outwards under
pressure.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HOT GOLD which
revealed no apparent abnormality.
