After arriving at the barrier, PROSPERITY STAR (App R Zawari) had its saddle
MIDNIGHT (App R Rueven) was difficult to be loaded into the barrier. Trainer
HW Tan was advised that a warning has been placed on MIDNIGHT regarding
its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be
taken in future.
LUCKY GENERAL (BN Shahrul), which was slow to begin, was inconvenienced
shortly after the start, by MIDNIGHT, which jumped awkwardly outwards.
SACRED PRINCE (A Munro) began awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, PEREGRINE FALCON (M Nunes), which was slow into
stride, was bumped by PROSPERITY STAR, which rolled inwards.
Approaching the 1000m, PEGASUS VICTORY (WH Lao) eased to avoid the
heels of LIVE WELL (App S Noh), which shifted inwards.
AFTERNOON DELIGHT (App MM Firdaus) and PROSPERITY STAR both raced

contact with PEREGRINE FALCON.
LIVE WELL was held up for clear running between the 500m until near the
PROSPERITY STAR hung inwards under pressure over the final 200m,
resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the gelding on a
number of occasions.
Jockey Shahrul, when questioned regarding the performance of LUCKY
GENERAL, stated that the gelding never travelled comfortably at any stage
and in his opinion, was not striding out freely. His explanation was noted. A
subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LUCKY GENERAL which
revealed no apparent abnormality. LUCKY GENERAL, which raced poorly, will
be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to
being declared to race again.

Following the running of Race 1, App T Rehaizat, the rider of SO PERFECT,
was examined by the Course Medical Officer who declared him unfit to fulfil
his remaining riding engagement.
