STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 1 [TF1143]
KRANJI STAKES D 1200M
DIVISION 2

Prior to the start, LIVE WELL (A Munro) was examined by the Veterinary
Surgeon and passed fit to race.

Trainer S Burridge, when questioned regarding the significant increase in the
body weight of LITTLE JUMBO (App S Noh), stated that the horse had
returned from a lengthy spell and had built up significantly during this time.
He added that LITTLE JUMBO, which had trialled and worked well, was in his
opinion, fit to start. A Pre-Race veterinary examination passed LITTLE
JUMBO fit to race.

NINETYSIX CHAMP (M Zaki) and SIMPANG (App Z Zuriman) were both
slightly slow to begin and lost ground shortly after the start when crowded
between NORTHERN CAT (J Moreira), which shifted inwards and SPEEDY
DWARF (J Powell), which had been carried outwards by FOREVER AHEAD
(App H Amin).

Near the 900m, MACHFIVE (I Saifudin) raced tight for a short distance
between LITTLE JUMBO and GOOD SCORE (T OShea).

Passing the 600m, MACHFIVE and PEGASUS VICTORY (App R Rueven) both
became unbalanced after making contact.

The Farrier reported that SIMPANG returned having cast its near-fore plate.

Jockey Munro, the rider of LIVE WELL, reported that as he became concerned
with the horses galloping action, he eased his mount down from the 800m.
He also reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent
veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. LIVE WELL, which
raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary
examination prior to being declared to race again.
