STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF963]
CLASS 4 1100M

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back five
minutes and rescheduled to start at 2225Hrs.

CAIYAYA (I Saifudin) was crowded between ORIGIN FAST (S Sam) and
BENJIS RULE (App Y Ruzaili), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

NINETYSIX CHAMP (T OShea) was slow into stride.

Near the 1000m, WARSPIRIT (App WL Tan) momentarily steadied when
racing tight to the inside of ROYAL STYLE (O Chavez), which rolled inwards.
WARSPIRIT raced wide thereafter.

BENJIS RULE had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the early part of the
straight.

Over the concluding stages, DR OCTOPUS (M Nunes) eased off the heels of
ORIGIN FAST, which rolled outwards under pressure.

The Farrier reported that COUP DA VINCI (L Allpress) returned having cast its
both-fore plates.

App Tan reported that WARSPIRIT was not striding out freely. A subsequent
veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Nunes reported that DR OCTOPUS was making respiratory noises. A
subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned as a
roarer. The Veterinary Surgeon also advised that DR OCTOPUS had
previously undergone corrective surgery for this condition.

SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2014
SUNDAY, 06 JULY 2014:

RACE 2 [TF901]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 18 July 2014, Jockey M Nunes, the
rider of TAKEOVER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA
Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding TAKEOVER in Race 2 at the Singapore
Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 06 July2014, near the 1100m, he allowed his
mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby resulting in DANES
ANATOMY (App K AIsisuhairi) having to check. When deciding on penalty,
the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of
interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Nunes that he
has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 25 July
2014 and Sunday, 27 July 2014. The Stewards determined to suspend his
licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement
of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 28 July 2014 until
Sunday, 03 August 2014 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race
Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
