STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 9 [TF928]
CLASS 4 1200M
DIVISION 2

FLAK JACKET (M Kellady) began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, FUKU ICHIBAN (KT Cheng), which began awkwardly,
made contact with the hindquarters of SAVAGE STORM (A Munro).

Near the 1100m, SAVAGE STORM eased when crowded to the inside of
LUCKY DAPPER (N Juglall), which shifted inwards. Jockey Juglall was
subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater
care when shifting ground in future.

Approaching the 1000m, FUKU ICHIBAN which was difficult to settle, dipped
after racing up onto the heels of CHEYENNE WARRIOR (App K AIsisuhairi),
which was proving difficult to settle in the backstraight.

DRAGON NINETYNINE (App P Dellorto) raced wide from the 1100m.

FUKU ICHIBAN had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the straight.

SAVAGE STORM and FARETTI (D Flores) raced tight for a short distance
passing the 300m.

GENERAL

SINGAPORE APRIL MEETING 2014
SUNDAY, 06 APRIL 2014:

RACE 9 [TF490]

On Thursday, 10 July 2014, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reason for ENZO (App T See) having to check when racing between SILVER
FLY (S John) and ACORDO DE PAZ (App K AIsisuhairi) approaching the
800m. It was established that approaching the 800m, ENZO, which was
racing in restricted room between SILVER FLY and ACORDO DE PAZ, lost
ground when crowded due to SILVER FLY initially shifting outwards slightly
and then ACORDO DEPAZ rolling inwards slightly. In the circumstances, no
blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was
taken.

SINGAPORE JUNE MEETING 2014
FRIDAY, 06 JUNE 2014:

RACE 3 [TF756]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 09 July 2014, App K Toh, the
rider of PATERSON ROAD, in the presence of his Master, Trainer M Clements,
pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in
that whilst riding PATERSON ROAD in Race 3 at the Singapore Turf Club
Meeting on Friday, 06 June 2014, approaching the Winning Post, he
permitted his mount to shift inwards, when not sufficiently clear of INSPIRE
(M Nunes), which was taken in across the running of SINGLE ACT (App R
Shafiq), resulting in INSPIRE and SINGLE ACT having to be checked. When
deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea
and the degree of interference and carelessness. App Toh was suspended
from riding in races with immediate effect from Wednesday, 09 July 2014 to

RACE 3 [TF756]

On Wednesday, 09 July 2014, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into a
report from the Clerk of Scales that App K Toh, the rider of PATERSON ROAD,
returned to scale 1.0kg over the declared weight that he weighed out for the
above race. App Toh, in the presence of his Master, Trainer M Clements,
pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 121(7) in that after riding
PATERSON ROAD in Race 3 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 06
June 2014, he returned to scale 1.0kg in excess of the declared weight that
he weighed out for the race. There was no evidence to suggest that App Toh
had or attempted to deceive the Clerk of Scales when weighing. However,
App Toh had admitted consuming fluids after he weighed out for the race and
that this may have contributed to him returning overweight. When
considering penalty, the Stewards took into account the nature of the charge,
his record and guilty plea. App Toh was suspended from riding in races with
effect from Saturday, 19 July 2014 to Friday, 25 July 2014 both dates
inclusive (three Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

suspension for careless riding from Wednesday, 09 July 2014 until Friday, 18
July 2014 both dates inclusive (four Race Days).

reasons for SIR FLEETWOOD (App K Toh) falling and its rider being dislodged
approaching the 500m when racing between PROBO CHANDROSO (D
Beasley) and INTENTION (CW Brown). It was established that approaching
the 500m, SIR FLEETWOOD, which was racing in restricted room between
PROBO CHANDROSO and INTENTION, clipped the heels of INTENTION and
fell, when that gelding, which had been hanging outwards for some distance
prior to, and, during the incident, shifted outwards slightly when struck with
the whip. INTENTION continued to hang outwards for some distance after
the incident. In the circumstances, the Stewards were of the opinion that
INTENTIONS racing manners were the major contributing factor of the
incident, and no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no
further action was taken.
