TRADE N LUCK a course scratching, as it was lame right fore, will be required to pass a 1000M and veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
EMBASSY which was down 15kgs and SHANGHAI KID which was up 16kgs in their body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
Trainer BT Lim was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(b) for failing to produce the declared colours on KIKO CLASSIC.
Acting on Starters advice that SHANGHAI KID was difficult to be boxed, the gelding will be required to pass a test (1 starting stall) before being entered to race again.
Passing the 150M, PANIC ATTACK had to steady off the heels of JUST STEEL which rolled in. Jockey SH Lee, the rider of JUST STEEL was shown the video of the incident and warned to ensure to keep his mount on a straight course in future.
KW Leong, the rider of TOLINI reported that his mount did not act in the going.
A post-race veterinary examination on VIVA AMOUR revealed no obvious abnormality. VIVA AMOUR was impounded.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that EMBASSY returned with heat stress and having cast off hind place whilst TOLINI returned cast off fore plate.
EMBASSY will be required to pass a veterinary examination prior to its next start.
When questioned with regards to his riding in the final 150M, G Cooksley, the rider of UNDER THE RADAR explained that his vision was impaired due to the kickback he suffered in the early and middle stages and as such, he did not fully persevere with his ride at that stage, as he felt that his horse was uncomfortable in the going. After reviewing the films, the Stewards advised jockey Cooksley that he would be expected to ride his mounts fully to the post whenever possible.
