STIPE'S REPORT RACE 8 (R1160) Emergency acceptors PURA VIDA and DESTINYS DAY were withdrawn due to a capacity field. JERAM CAHAYA, a course scratching, as it sustained a bruised sole left fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again. CANCER, GOLD CAMEL and SPEEDY WIND which were up 16kgs, 15kgs and 21kgs in their respective body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of LUCKY PLAYER at 4:39pm acting on the Starters advice that it could not be boxed. In view of its previous history, the gelding will be required to pass two tests (2 starting stall at weekly intervals) before being entered to race again. FAST TUNE dipped on jumping. WHITE LIGHTNING was slow to begin. S Anandan, the rider of SAMARA reported that his mount did not act in the going. Post-race veterinary examinations of TO EXCELL, SAMARA and WORLD TOP revealed no obvious abnormality. WORLD TOP was impounded. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SAMARA returned having cast its right fore plate.
