RACE 3 [TF86]
CLASS 2 LC (A) 1600M

EMPERORS BANQUET (B Vorster) was tightened on jumping between WORLD
WAR (M Nunes) and TIGER MASTER (I Santana), both of which shifted
ground.

Shortly after the start, WORLD WAR was hampered when tightened between
TERMINATOR (V Leal) and EMPERORS BANQUET, which was taken inwards
by TIGER MASTER.

When the pace steadied near the 1300m, RUNNING TALL (J Powell)
commenced to overrace and got its head in the air when being restrained off
the heels of TIGER MASTER.

Approaching the 1200m, BENDICION (A Munro) also got its head in the air
when being steadied off the heels of EMPERORS BANQUET.

Near the 600m, GOLIATH (CW Brown) had to be steadied when awkwardly
placed on the heels of WORLD WAR.

Near the 400m, WORLD WAR, which was inclined to lay inwards, was
momentarily inconvenienced when BENDICION shifted outwards slightly.

Jockey Brown, when questioned regarding the run of GOLIATH, stated that
the gelding continued to change stride throughout the race and in his
opinion, GOLIATH may be better suited on the Polytrack. His explanation
was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLIATH
which revealed no apparent abnormality.
