RACE 13 (R1689) Class 3 1200M
NICOJACK HANDICAP

BIG LIGHTNING, which was down 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked
by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

INTER REWARD (Y Aify) was slowly away.

Near the 850M, FOUR ACES (Lou Ho) steadied when crowded for room between
MIRACLE PRAY (W Davila) and BIG LIGHTNING (M Wepner) which shifted
inwards. Jockey M Wepner, the rider of BIG LIGHTNING, was shown the video and
warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Near the 800M, ALS KNIGHT (App R Rueven) brushed the running rail.

Near the 450M, ALS KNIGHT steadied outwards across the heels of BIG LIGHTNING
which commenced to give ground.

Near the 250M, OCEAN FORTUNE (O Chavez) steadied inwards across the heels of
BIG LIGHTNING which continued to give ground.

From the 200M to the 100M, INTER REWARD was taken wider on the track by
LANDING NORTH (App S Zulfikri) which shifted outwards under pressure, obliging its
rider to stop and straighten near the 100M. App S Zulfikri, in the presence of his Master,
Trainer R Lines, was shown the video and warned to exercise more care when shifting
ground in future.

Post-race veterinary examinations of FOUR ACES, BIG LIGHTNING, and ALS
KNIGHT revealed no obvious abnormality.

When questioned regarding the performance of WARN YOU MAN (J Shankar), Trainer
B Ng stated that the gelding was going up in class from its last start win at the Penang
Home-based Meeting on 1st December 2013 and he believed that todays field was
stronger opposition. He further stated that he expected WARN YOU MAN to have a
good chance today but felt that the gelding did not handle the firm track, however was
disappointing. Trainer B Ng was advised that if he detects any abnormality with the
gelding after cooling down, he would be expected to report this to the Stewards. WARN
YOU MAN was impounded. A post-race veterinary examination of WARN YOU MAN
revealed no obvious abnormality.
