STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 7 [TF1069]
CAUSEWAY CLASSIC STAKES 1800M
SPORE-G3

ITISWHATITIS (M Nunes) was slow to begin.

Near the 1100m, CANNON HILL (B Vorster) shifted outwards and made
contact with ITISWHATITIS when awkwardly placed on the heels of READY
TO STRIKE (J Moreira).

Passing the 200m, READY TO STRIKE was eased out of the race. The
Veterinary Surgeon subsequently reported that the horse returned lame off-
fore. READY TO STRIKE will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and
veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

CANNON HILL hung outwards under pressure over the final 200m and shortly
after passing the 100m, momentarily inconvenienced ILUMINADO (M
Kellady).

Jockey J Verenzuela, when questioned regarding the run of FLYING FULTON,
stated that the gelding never travelled well throughout and failed to respond
when placed under pressure from the 500m. His explanation was noted. A
subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FLYING FULTON which
revealed no apparent abnormality.
