RACE 5 [TF679]
OPEN BENCHMARK 53 1200M
DIVISION 1

DRAGON LUCK (App LQ Kek) was severely crowded on jumping between
MANNY PACUIAO (App R Shafiq), which jumped outwards and FRENCHMAN
(D Beasley), which jumped inwards abruptly.

JUST A MAN (M Kellady), which was slow to begin, was inconvenienced on
jumping when PINT SIZED PRINCE (M Nunes) shifted outwards.

Approaching the 1000m, GRIFFIN (S Sam) was momentarily crowded
between SUPER CAPTAIN (D Chee) and JUST LIKE THAT (Alan Ng), which
shifted inwards slightly.

BROWNES ANATOMY (J Moreira) raced keenly in the early stages.

SUPER CAPTAIN and JUST LIKE THAT both raced wide without cover
throughout.

Near the 150m, Jockey Sam, the rider of GRIFFIN, dropped his whip. He was
subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a
penalty being imposed in future.

App K AIsisuhairi, the rider of NOT MY FAULT, reported that his horse was
not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no
apparent abnormality.

Jockey D Beasley, when questioned regarding the run of FRENCHMAN, stated
that he had ridden the gelding in its lead up trackwork and it had worked
well. HE further stated that he was able to obtain a position just off the pace
and travelled well initially, however, the gelding failed to respond when
placed under pressure from the 600m and had been extremely disappointing.
His explanation was noted. FRENCHMAN was impounded for routine
veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no
apparent abnormality. FRENCHMAN, which raced poorly, will be required to
pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared
to race again.
