RIKIOH (D Beasley), which was fractious in the barrier, will be required to
pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of
MRA Rule 78(2).
On jumping, RIKIOH shifted outwards and bumped SILVER DOLLAR (App K
AIsisuhairi) out onto PEACE NO WAR (M Nunes).
Shortly after the start, SPEED MISSION (A Munro) shifted outwards and
bumped BRINGITHOME (CW Brown) out on MEXBOROUGH BOY (B Vorster).
Shortly thereafter, BRINGITHOME shifted inwards abruptly and bumped the
hindquarters of SPEED MISSION, resulting in BRINGITHOME losing ground.
After passing the 1000m, TIGER BEE (O Chavez), which was racing greenly,
steadied when crowded slightly between FLYING NEKO (M Cameron) and
EASY MONEY (S Sam).
Near the 800m, FLYING NEKO, which proved difficult to settle and was racing
greenly, steadied when racing to the inside of EASY MONEY.
After passing the 800m, HOME DADDY HOME (KB Soo) became unbalanced
when bumped by BRINGITHOME, which was carried inwards by FLYING
Passing the 500m, SUPER SIX (I Azhar) was held up for a short distance.
BRINGITHOME had a tendency to lay inwards in the homestraight.
Passing the 350m, SUPER BONUS (G Cheyne) checked when racing to the
outside of MEXBOROUGH BOY and RIKIOH. An Inquiry into this incident will
be held at a date to be fixed.
Passing the 300m, RIKIOH was crowded for room between MEXBOROUGH
and PEACE NO WAR, which shifted outwards. Shortly after, SILVER DOLLAR
shifted outwards abruptly, resulting in PEACE NO WAR being unable to
relieve the pressure to RIKIOH and resulting in further crowding to that
gelding, which lost ground.
Approaching the 50m, TASHI (I Santana) steadied when crowded slightly by
DRAGON WALK (J Powell), which shifted inwards under pressure.
Over the concluding stages, EASY MONEY shifted outwards and brushed
SPEED MISSION and SUPER BONUS, which both raced poorly, will each be
required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to
being declared to race again.
Jockey Santana, the rider of TASHI, reported that his horse returned lame. A
subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
