STIPE'S REPORT RACE 2 [TF837] RESTRICTED MAIDEN POLYTRACK 1100M WEIGHT FOR AGE (2 & 3 YEARS OLD) Permission was granted for Jockey D Chee to replace Jockey J Saimee who in turn replaced Jockey R Woodworth on EQUALITY. As both Jockey Woodworth and Jockey Saimee were incorrectly engaged, Trainer C Leck was fined S$500 in terms of MRA Rule 34(2). Trainer M Freedman was advised that a warning has been placed on COMMON INTEREST (V Duric) regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future. REAL PLAYER (App TR Barnabas) was slow into stride. RACING CLASSIC (D Beasley) and SEARCHING (I Saifudin) bumped on jumping. Near the 1000m, CABRERA (App A Feiruz) and FANTASTIC KNIGHT (R Stewart) bumped. Near the 700m, PERFECT DIAMOND (M Gallagher) steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of FANTASTIC KNIGHT. Near the 700m, COMMON INTEREST, which was racing keenly and inclined to lay outwards, steadied off the heels of DARING SPUR (KB Soo) and approaching the 500m, lost ground after it hung out across the heels of EQUALITY. In the early part of the straight, COMMON INTEREST had difficulty obtaining a completely clear run and shifted outwards to improve. In the straight, MY SON (B Vorster) shifted outwards under pressure and near the 200m, shifted out abruptly. SEARCHING, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being entered to race again.
