STIPE'S REPORT RACE 1 (R852) Maiden  1200M (lc) ROCKET BABY, a course scratching as it was suffering from tendonitis near fore, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. The start was delayed as TEZIZARIB (J Chuah) was difficult to be loaded. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 1:44pm. Acting on the Starters advice, TEZIZARIB will be required to pass a test (starting stall) before being entered to race again. POWERFUL GIRL (J Nizam) was slowly away. ULUCKILY (J Shankar) was crowded for room between IN CONTROL (J Low) which jumped awkwardly outwards and WHATEVER WORKS (BN Shahrul) which jumped awkwardly inwards. Near the 1000M, ULUCKILY shifted inwards slightly when anticipating the short course and in doing so, brushed JETSETTER (M Leong). HYPER POWER (K Eirwan) raced wide on the first turn. NOCOLLATERALNEEDED (S Salee) raced wide on the first and home turns. Near the 500M, JETSETTER (M Leong) switched outwards across the heels of WHATEVER WORKS in order to obtain clear running and in doing so, took ULUCKILY wider on the track. Jockey M Leong was shown the video of the incident and warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. Near the 200M, JETSETTER laid inwards, obliging Jockey M Leong to stop and straighten. Near the 100M, JETSETTER laid inwards and brushed WHATEVER WORKS, obliging Jockey M Leong again to stop and straighten. A post-race veterinary examination of ULUCKILY revealed no obvious abnormality. ULUCKILY which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that CHATEAU GARDEN returned having cast its near hind plate and IN CONTROL returned with a cut to its mouth. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that LADY GAGA (App CK Tan) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b). When questioned regarding his ride on POWER BLAST, Jockey S Sani stated that he was instructed to sit midfield and do his best in the home straight. He said that when the gelding is ridden forward, POWER BLAST tends to over-race and does finish its races off. He further stated that approaching the 700M, he had to steady when racing between IN CONTROL and NOW YOU CAN which shifted in slightly. He added that rounding the home turn, POWER BLAST laid outwards and did not respond when using the whip and as such he elected to ride his mount out more with hands and heels over the concluding stages of the race. Jockey S Sani was told that he would be expected to endeavour to hold his ground whenever possible during the race and that he should have commenced to urge his mount into the race sooner than what he did today approaching the home turn. Jockey S Sani was warned to ride all his mounts in such a manner so as to leave no room for query. A post-race veterinary examination of POWER BLAST revealed no obvious abnormality.
