STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 15 (R618) Class 3 1200M (short course-A)

PROMISE ME GOLD (M Wepner) and SALAAM DUBAI (L Sofhan) jumped away
awkwardly.

Jockey M Wepner, rider of PROMISE ME GOLD, reported that from 600M
entering the straight, he was held up for clear running on the heels of
BASHAASH (J De Souza).

Racing to the 400M, NINE TEN (M Ganeesh) attempted to take a run between
PROMISE ME GOLD and BASHAASH and when unable to take that run, it had
to be checked off the heels of PROMISE ME GOLD and shifted in to obtain a
clear run to the finish.

Post-race veterinary examination of SAGARS BEST and MASQUERAIN
revealed no obvious abnormality. The geldings were both impounded.

A post-race veterinary examination of CENTURY LORD revealed no obvious
abnormality and will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before
being entered to race again.

RACE 3 (R580) MALAYSIA 2012 3YO CHAMPIONSHIP 1100M str, 4TH DAY,
SUNDAY, 22ND APRIL 2012, PERAK TURF CLUB APRIL DERBY MEETING
2012

The Stewards considered an appeal by Trainer PK Leong regarding the white
card being issued to HONESTLY SPEAKING when the horse was difficult to be
loaded and was subsequently a late withdrawal by order of the Stewards acting
on the Starters advice.

After reviewing the films, it is evident that a blindfold was used on HONESTLY
SPEAKING in its races on 3rd March 2012 in Ipoh and also on 24th March 2012
in Penang.

After interviewing PRTC Starter Mr Elangovan, it was established that the
blindfold was not updated on the system after it raced and used a blindfold in
Ipoh on 3rd March 2012. As such, this therefore did not appear on the history for
HONESTLY SPEAKING when the horse proved difficult to be loaded at its last
start and was subsequently withdrawn at the barriers.

In view of this, the Stewards were satisfied that HONESTLY SPEAKING had
used a blindfold previously and should have used it again on this occasion.
Therefore, Trainer PK Leongs appeal to rescind the white card has been
successful.

Trainer B Ng explained that EZEE DOES IT was scratched by the Penang Turf
Club (PNTC) Veterinary Department on Wednesday, 18th April 2012, however,
the fax from PNTC Veterinary Department regarding the scratching was received
by the PRTC Racing Department after declarations, as declarations for that
particular week were conducted on Wednesday due to Thursday, 19th April 2012
being a Public Holiday. Due to administrative oversight, the horse was not listed
as a normal course scratching.
