RESTRICTED MAIDEN SC (A) 1200M
WEIGHT FOR AGE
(2 & 3 YEARS OLD)
KLEVER WARRIOR (J Powell) was slow to begin and shortly after, was
hampered when CHINA ROULETTE (M Zaki) shifted outwards away from I-
SCREAM NOW (KB Soo), which jumped away awkwardly outwards.
MASCOT DRAGON (V Sivan) and DRAGON KING (D Beasley) bumped on
TELESCOPIC (I Saifudin) showed no early pace.
Passing the 1000m, MASCOT DRAGON steadied when crowded to the inside
of DRAGON KING, which laid inwards away from I-SCREAM NOW, which
shifted inwards. Jockey Soo was subsequently shown the film of the incident
and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
DRAGON KING overraced in the early and middle stages.
Near the 900m, MASCOT DRAGON, which was racing keenly, shifted
outwards and in so doing, hampered BALE STAR (B Vorster).
MASCOT DRAGON hung outwards from the 800m placing its rider at a
distinct disadvantage and as a result, carried BALE STAR and REAL STEEL (E
Aslam) wider on the track making the turn into the straight. MASCOT
DRAGON will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a
veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
CHINA ROULETTE raced wide throughout.
Near the 700m, THE POWER (App TH Koh) steadied and lost ground whilst
racing tight to the inside of LITTLE GIANT (App P Dellorto), which laid
inwards away from YOURSTOKEEP (S Baster).
BLACK SORCERER (Alan Ng) shifted outwards abruptly over the concluding
stages, resulting in BALE STAR having to be steadied.
Prior to the Winning Post, ZAC GALLANT (J Moreira) was bumped when
DRAGON KING shifted inwards under pressure.
CHINA ROULETTE, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m
gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that I-SCREAM NOW bled. In terms of MRA
Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training
tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in
any race for a period of three months, and then only after having
satisfactorily passed a bleeders test.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BLACK SORCERER
which revealed no apparent abnormality.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on TELESCOPIC which
revealed no apparent abnormality. TELESCOPIC, which raced poorly, will be
required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to
being declared to race again.
