STIPE'S REPORT RACE 1 (R919) AUCKLAND RACING CLUB TROPHY, Class 5  1400M The Stewards permitted App Z Zuriman to replace App K Yazid on SHIMBASHI as the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer. Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. VIVA LA VIDA (J Low) was slowly away. EZEE DOES IT (App H Bukhari) fly-jumped and was slowly away, and thereafter showed no early pace despite being urged. Near the 100M, KHATANGA (App Z Khairil) steadied when crowded for room between SUPREME ISTANA (J De Souza) which shifted inwards slightly and PALMSTON (C Goon) which was taken outwards by MIGHTY STORM (M Wepner) which shifted outwards. Jockey M Wepner was shown the video of the incident and warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. App H Bukhari, the rider of EZEE DOES IT, reported that his saddle slipped backwards during running. A post-race veterinary examination of EZEE DOES IT revealed that it was lame near fore and as such will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of SUPREME ISTANA revealed no obvious abnormality.
