STIPE'S REPORT RACE 1 [TF898] CLASS 5 1000M Trainer M Yusof was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to submit his request for App Z Zuriman to ride BETTER THAN YOU without claiming his full allowance within the prescribed time at Declarations. SPEEDY PHIL (KB Soo) was fractious in the barrier. In view of its previous record and as SPEEDY PHIL is a repeat offender, it will be barred from racing or entering for a test trial for a period of fourteen days, after which it must pass two consecutive starting stall tests. RAPID REWARDS (A Munro) was restless in the barrier. Trainer L Dragon was advised that a warning has been placed on RAPID REWARDS regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future. GOLDEN JAMBHALA (D Chee) was slow to begin. MAGIC DIVA (S Anandan) and BEYONCE (D Beasley) both raced wide throughout. Making the turn into the straight, MAGIC DIVA eased off the heels of SILVER LEGEND (App P Dellorto), which laid outwards. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that BETTER THAN YOU bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeders test. Jockey Beasley, when questioned regarding the run of BEYONCE, stated that despite being ridden hard in the early stages, BEYONCE failed to respond and as such, he was caught wide. Thereafter, BEYONCE hung outwards from the 800m and disappointed when placed under pressure. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BEYONCE which revealed that the horse returned having bled.
