STIPE'S REPORT RACE 1 [TF860] BOCELLI 2001 HANDICAP LC (A) 1800M CLASS 5 Permission was granted for Jockey I Santana to replace Jockey O Bosson on NEWFOUNDFAME as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Bosson was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9). SEASONS WONDER (J Verenzuela), which was restless in the barrier and momentarily got its leg over, was taken out and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice that SEASONS WONDER was found to have a cut on its near-fore, the Race Meeting Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1253Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again. Trainer D Hill was advised that a warning has been placed on SEASONS WONDER regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future. MAGIC ICON (D Beasley) and URBAN LEGEND (M Suhaimi) were both slow into stride. FREEDOM MAN (S Sam) was crowded on jumping between I LIKE (B Vorster) and KING WASHI (S Baster), which shifted outwards. MAGIC ICON showed no early pace despite the urgings of its rider. Near the 1000m, ENERGETIC WARRIOR (T Affandi) was bumped by FREEDOM MAN, which was racing tight and difficult to settle to the inside of ATIAMURI (J Moreira), which rolled inwards. ATIAMURI had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight and near the 200m, had to be steadied outwards across the heels of I LIKE in order to obtain a clear run. Jockey Affandi, the rider of ENERGETIC WARRIOR, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. ENERGETIC WARRIOR, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again. MAGIC ICON was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.
