RACE 2 [TF833]
INITIATION 1200M
ABASTOR (M Suhaimi), which proved difficult to be loaded into the barrier,
caught the saddle on the back gate whilst being loaded. This necessitated
the saddle to be adjusted which caused some delay. Trainer J OHara was
advised that a warning has been placed on ABASTOR regarding its barrier
manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.
GOODVOLLEYMSMOLLY (App CS Chin) lost ground on jumping after being
bumped by WIN THE DAY (M Zaki).
VENI VICI (I Santana) jumped away awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, ST DUPONT (S Sam) and TOP ASIA (App M Firdaus)
both eased when crowded between GUSHA (J Moreira), which shifted inwards
and ABASTOR, which was carried outwards by CHINA ROULETTE (App TH
Koh).
WIN THE DAY raced keenly in the early stages.
GUSHA and ABASTOR both raced wide throughout.
Approaching the 800m, ST DUPONT got its head up after being eased when
racing tight between ABASTOR and GOODVOLLEYMSMOLLY.
Shortly after passing the 300m, VENI VICI had to be eased when crowded to
the inside of CRACKERJACK (M Kellady), which shifted inwards under
pressure.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DOWNING STREET
(O Bosson) which revealed no apparent abnormality. DOWNING STREET,
which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and
veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
PARAGON ANGEL (A Munro) was impounded for routine veterinary and
analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent
abnormality.
