IRON EYES (App H Bukhari) which stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground, will
be required to pass a test (starting stall) before being entered to race again.
TERMINATOR ATTACK (S Sandana) raced keenly and was difficult to settle in the
early and middle stages.
Near the 800M, BURU BURU (K Eirwan) anticipated the short course.
Rounding the home turn, CERTAIN PRINCE (C Goon) slipped and became unbalanced.
Rounding the home turn, TERMINATOR ATTACK slipped, became unbalanced and
nearly fell. RELEASE (App HS Gill) which was following, checked severely off the
heels of TERMINATOR ATTACK and stumbled causing its rider to become unbalanced.
HYPER POWER which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before
being entered to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of SOVEREIGN ACE revealed no obvious
abnormality. The gelding which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet)
before being entered to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of RELEASE and BLUE CENTRE revealed no
obvious abnormality. BLUE CENTRE was impounded.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that TERMINATOR ATTACK returned with a
cut to its off fore cannon. TERMINATOR ATTACK will be required to undergo a
veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of BLUE CENTRE, App KM
Lai stated that he was instructed to get a good jump, sit midfield and make his move near
the 800M. He further stated that approaching the home turn, he shifted outwards slightly
to avoid the heels of TERMINATOR ATTACK, however thereafter when he asked for
and effort, his mount did not respond as expected and was disappointing in the home
straight. His explanation was noted. Trainer LN Danis confirmed the instructions and
stated that BLUE CENTRE prefers heavy going and needs more distance, however he
believed BLUE CENTRE was disappointing today as he expected the horse to run a good
race. He further stated that he will proceed with BLUE CENTREs preparation and will
look for a longer distance for its next start. Trainer LN Danis was advised that if he
detects any abnormality with the horse after cooling down, he would be expected to
report this to the Stewards. His explanation was noted.
