STIPE'S REPORT RACE 1 (R715) Class 5  1400M (lc) Acting on veterinary advice that BASSANIO (J Low) was lame off fore, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 1:08pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. BEE SIXTY FIVE (App KM Lai) and ADIK (J Shankar) were both slowly away. Shortly after the start, KIWI MAESTRO (SH Lee) was crowded for room between MAZEN (App S Mutaza) which shifted outwards and MAYOS DANCER (App M Ganeesh) which shifted inwards, thereafter KIWI MAESTRO showed no early pace. Near the 700M, ELEVENTH AVENUE (App HS Gill) steadied when crowded for room between THUNDERSHOCK (App K Yazid) which rolled outwards and MAZEN which rolled inwards. Shortly afterwards, MAZEN shifted outwards abruptly. Rounding the home turn, BEST RECRUIT (HK Cheng) slipped and became unbalanced. Near the 500M, MAYOS DANCER steadied outwards across the heels of THARA (M Djulkifli) which steadied off MISS MARTEL (Alex Chew) which rolled outwards slightly. Near the 300M, WU JIN (App KK Khoo) laid inwards, obliging its rider to stop and straighten. Near the 300M, BEFLEDGED (C Goon) drifted inwards under pressure. Near the 50M, Jockey J Shankar, the rider of ADIK, dropped his whip. He was warned that a repetition of dropping the whip in future may lead to a penalty being imposed. App KM Lai, the rider of BEE SIXTY FIVE, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BEE SIXTY FIVE revealed no obvious abnormality.
